    PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY

    Throughout my life, I have tried to encourage understanding, mutual respect, and peaceful cooperation among people. I have always believed that every individual deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, nationality, physical appearance, economic status, or background.
     
    As I wrote on my website: "When you walk down the street, just remember that every person you pass - ”regardless of their race, physical appearance, or whether they are rich or poor - ”has their own goals and aspirations, trials and tribulations. Every person deserves to be treated with basic respect and dignity. It is essential to individualize, not generalize. Every group has both good and bad individuals, and one must not fall into the trap of assuming that everyone in a particular group is the same or thinks the same. Sometimes, in our rush or arrogance, we forget these basic truths.".
     
    It is interesting to note that it is the differences between people that helps advance society. Diverse experiences and perspectives help advance society by encouraging new ideas and better solutions. What we believe to be the correct approach is not always the best approach.
     
    Technology alone does not improve the world. It is how technology is applied to benefit people, create opportunity, and improve the human condition that ultimately advances civilization.

    Enjoys sailing, hiking, reading, bicycle riding and driving on road trips. Designed and built many electric and solar powered cars as well as hovercrafts, boats and many other forms of technology. Is the author of best selling business books and books and optical technology. Has a large personal library of over 12,000 books with over half being antiquarian, with some dating back to the 1500's.. Born in Manhattan on the Upper East Side. Raised in Manhattan, Europe and elsewhere. Presently resides in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
